I’m Nick, a reliable, experienced, totally trustworthy, and resourceful handyman who focuses on small repair and replacement jobs — the kind of work most major contractors don’t want to take on. I take on the small stuff. I work fast and efficiently, and I only accept jobs I can complete in a timely, professional manner. Focusing on this smaller niche of services helps keep my availability more open and my costs, as well as my rates, lower.
More about my experience is listed in the My Background / Experience section.
For the most part I am a one-man operation, so texting and email are my primary communication methods and they are my administrative assistants. They help me keep track of details and enable me to respond as time permits. If I am on a job I may not get back to you immediately. If a customer is paying for my time, my time 100% belongs to them, just as it would for you. But I will get back to you as soon as possible. I do not make use of voice mail / messages so please do not leave me a voice message, please text or email me. Honestly, I rarely even answer a phone call, or listen to voice messages anymore due to spammers, scammers, and others.
I work directly with residential homeowners. To keep my work focused, timely, and stay within my service niche, I specialize in short-duration, practical home replacement and repairs. Some examples include:
I have repaired all sorts of odd items, not listed here. I am good at figuring out fixes, solutions, and ideas. Email me with any detailed questions.
If it’s a small, straightforward repair or replacement, I likely handle it.

I do prefer to work directly with homeowners who actually live in the homes I am asked to work on.
I do not work through job agencies, property managers, HOA's, or with renters, and I do not work on rental or commercial properties. To keep my work focused, timely, and to stay within my service niche, I do not provide the following types of services:
You supply the fixtures (lights, faucets, hardware, etc.), and I install them.

Working with job agencies, property managers, HOA's, rental and commercial properties tend to open a different
set of circumstances, raise costs and other potential issues. I work directly with residential homeowners who
actually live in the homes I am asked to work on.
I work efficiently and stay focused on the task. I rarely take a break. If a job goes beyond the first hour, additional time is billed accordingly.
I stand behind the quality of my workmanship. If a task was performed incorrectly, which would be rare, I will
return to correct the workmanship at no additional labor cost. This does not cover part failures, manufacturer
defects, normal wear, or issues unrelated to the original work performed.
Small repairs can sometimes reveal hidden issues. For example:
Sensors, measurements, common, and standard techniques and processes are used to avoid issues. However, unforeseen situations like these can occur when performing repair work. These risks are rare but inherent in repair work. See service agreement below.
Before any work begins, I ask all customers to please click this link and review the HANDYMAN FIXFAST Service Agreement. It outlines responsibilities, limitations, and how unforeseen issues are handled.
I served 2 enlistments in the USAF, 3.5 years as a Volunteer Firefighter / First Responder, 18 years in flight operations and maintenance in the world of aviation / aerospace, and I was also a Home Inspector in Colorado. Through all of those experiences I learned about building codes, safety, security, hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, environmental systems, heating, air conditioning, power generation, mechanical and electrical skills, proofloading, testing, troubleshooting, structural integrity, and many more highly-complex and related skills. But my best experience was what I gained from working with my father, who had me working on near everything as a kid. I installed my first dishwasher for a neighbor when I was 9 years old (I am now a senior - if that helps paint the picture). That all said, today I keep to the small repair and replacement jobs as listed above. It is the niche I now serve.
I started HANDYMAN FIXFAST service in 2016.
The Red Cardinal, that's my friend Rusty.
