Repair & Replace Specialist
Maryville, Tennessee Area
Service in Maryville, Tennessee estimated to begin in August - September time frame of 2026
About me
I’m Nick, a reliable, experienced, totally trustworthy, neat, clean, and resourceful handyman who focuses on
small repair and replacement jobs — the kind of work most major contractors don’t want to take on. I take on the small stuff. I work fast and efficiently, and I only accept jobs I can complete in a timely, professional manner. Focusing on this smaller niche of services helps keep my availability more open and my costs, as well as my rates, lower.
More background and experience details are listed in the last section of this website.
Communication - How to Contact Me
I’m a one-man operation so texting and email are my primary communication methods and they are my administrative assistants. They help me keep track of details and enable me to respond as time permits. I do not make use of voice mail / messages so please do not leave me a voice message, please text or email me. Honestly, I rarely even answer a phone call, or listen to voice messages anymore due to spammers, scammers, and others.
If you want to reach me, please do text or email me.

If it’s a small, straightforward repair or replacement, I likely handle it.
I do prefer to work directly with homeowners who actually live in the homes I am asked to work on.
What I don’t do
To keep my work focused, timely, and stay within my service niche, I typically do not provide:
- I typically do not work on rental property or for property managers.
- Emergency or 24-hour service.
- Roofing, flooring, drywall installation, or painting.
- Landscaping, gardening, pressure washing.
- Appliance repair. (I do some minor repairs and adjustments.)
- Window, glass, or track repairs.
- Garage door repairs or installation. (I do program remotes.)
- Carpentry projects.
- Remodeling or new construction.
- No "high-wire" acts / jobs (max about 9 feet high).
- No work in crawl spaces or atticts.
- Pest control.
- Unclog drains. (I do clear small sink drainage issues.)
- Janitorial services.
- Trash or junk removal.
- Haul large items.
- Shopping for fixtures or materials.
You supply the fixtures (lights, faucets, hardware, etc.), and I install them.
Renters, rentals, and property managers tend to open a different set of circumstances and potential issues. I do prefer to work directly with homeowners who actually live in the homes I am asked to work on.

Important note about home repairs
Small repairs can sometimes reveal hidden issues. For example:
- Replacing a faucet may expose a failing or faulty shutoff valve
- Installing a light fixture may reveal a brittle electrical box or wiring issues
- Tightening a fitting may expose an old leak
Unforseen situations like these can occur when performing repair work. See service agreement below.
Service agreement
Before any work begins, I ask all customers to please click this link and review the
HANDYMAN FIXFAST Services Agreement. It outlines responsibilities,
limitations, and how unforeseen issues are handled.
My Background / Experience
I served 2 enlistments in the USAF, 3.5 years as a Firefighter, 18 years in flight operations and maintenance in the world of aviation / aerospace, and I was also a Home Inspector in Colorado. Through all of those experiences I learned about building codes, safety, security, hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, environmental systems, heating, air conditioning, power generation, mechanical and electrical skills, proofloading, testing, troubleshooting, structural integrity, and many more highly-complex and related skills. That all said, today I keep to the small repair and replacement jobs as listed above. It is the niche I now serve.
I started HANDYMAN FIXFAST service in 2016.
